Toowan8 Recounts Mistakes & Makeups On New Song “Make I Know”



With their first 2021 release “Yehowa Kai Me”, Toowan8 a rising Ghanaian Afrobeat & Hip Life Duo, are set to release 2nd single of the year “Make I Know”.

Toowan8, made up of “Sauci Bossy” (Ankamah Peter Bossman) and “Vuga” (Henry Osei-Akoto), are a talented Ghanaian singing and composing group based in the United States. The young artists culturally fluid style is marked by substantial Ghanaian and Nigerian influences, having spent most of their impressionable years in the US, both were born and raised in Ghana.

Wizkid, Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Mr. Eazi, Kelvynboy, Kwesi Arthur, Stonebwoy, Rema, and Fireboydml are among their main influences.

Produced by Kindee, “Make I Know” is a chilled afrobeat anthem, calibrated specifically for the dancefloor.“Make I Know” is available for streaming on all digital streaming platforms.

Sony/ATV Signs D-Black To Global Publishing and Distribution Deal



D-Black – a Ghanaian multiple award winning & chart topping anglophone hip-hop and afrobeat musician and Chief Executive Officer of Black Avenue Music (BAM), has signed a global publishing and distribution agreement with Sony/ATV ahead of the Ghanaian-based musician’s fifth studio album, expected to premiere this summer in Los Angeles, California.

According to Rowlin Naicker MD of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, they are excited to represent and partner with him in the significant next phase of his already successful career as the “Vera” hitmaker’s, who will be celebrating a decade in the arts and entertainment ecosystem, skills and talents will be a great addition to the Sony/ATV family. He added that, D-Black is an amazing creative, whose talents have underpinned countless hit records.

Munya Chanetsa, newly appointed A&R Manager stated that, he sincerely hopes this signing showcases to Ghana the firm’s commitment to prioritize and work with their creatives as D-black’s talent transcends his reputation as a hit-making super talent. He added that, he has also demonstrates a rare gift for identifying, cultivating and developing a new generation of stars, a vision they completely support and anticipate a long and successful partnership with him.

Of the signing, D-Black (real name Desmond Kwesi Blackmore) said in an Instgram post that, he excited to continue to build his catalogue with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and looks forward to all that’s coming down the pipeline.

“I want to put Ghanaian music on the forefront of the Afrobeats global wave and this is just the first step with Sony / ATV. This isn’t just for me, I’m in the process of finalizing a label deal with them for all my artists, producers and partners and also sharing information with other acts so together we could all move forward as a unit, as a collective from Ghana, Africa.
