#BBNaijaLockdown – Interior Design And Big Brother: A Match Made In TV Heaven

Interior design is fast becoming an important part of Nigerian home décor, as more people now understand the effect of design in living and business.

Today we have young interior designers in Nigeria striving to meet the growing demands for interior design services, and no one exemplifies this growing need more than Olajumoke Ogunnaike of ‘Lefteye’s Signatures’, the outfit behind the art direction of the iconic BBNaija House.

The new season of BBNaija has returned to overwhelming acclaim, with many praising the attention to detail and vibrancy in the design aesthetic. Ogunnaike once again sits at the creative helm and we sit with her to find out what makes her tick creatively, and what her experience has been working on Africa’s biggest television production.

Describe your experience working on BBNaija last season?

Without mincing words, every work comes with its own challenge. The experiences and challenges faced during other projects we’ve handled made us better prepared and made our work experience much easier talking about handling the pressure that came with the BBNAIJA – Pepper them project. To add to this, there was a positive energy around me from the Red Pepper team that gave me the yes, I can vibe.

What was the most tasking/challenging design you worked on in the house this season?

he most tasking and challenging design I worked on in the house is still the garden area; the time it took to complete the beautiful mural, being at mother nature’s mercy and praying several times that the rain seizes also at this period coordinating about 20 of my team members on a particular wall with me not having control over the the weather and with a slim time line counting down got to me… but I’m glad we pulled through

What should viewers expect in terms of art design of the House?

Just as our viewers were pleasantly surprised on the season before, they should equally get ready to be awed with the ambiance and warmth the Big Brother Naija house brings this season. This time we decided to keep it simple and soft and I’m sure it will be a pleasing feed-back.

When given a project, what is your creative and work process?

Put in its simplest form, I would say it’s a succession of thoughts and actions leading to original final production; We get the brief, plan, delegates and get the job done but the most interesting part is birthing fresh ideas during a work process. It just comes effortlessly, and we go with the flow.

What impact has the COVID-19 pandemic had on your business?

Just as it has its downsides, it also had its positive effect. When we sensed that the drop in demand for our services was solely because clients were scared of the pandemic and high on safety from the team we put on our projects, we had to up our standards and got appropriate PPE kits to keep both the team and our clients safe in their haven.

KiDi, Kuami Eugene To Perform At Indigo At The O₂ In London On March 6

Lynx Entertainment signees, KiDi and Kuami Eugene are spreading their wings as far as their music careers are concerned.

While their songs are making inroads into other music markets the world over, they are not resting on their laurels in their bid to have a physical presence in those areas.

On 6th March 2022, the two Ghanaian music superstars will be performing at the Indigo at the O2 in London.

KiDi and Kuami Eugene are two of Ghana’s illustrious sons in the music industry who have enjoyed critical and commercial success, less than six years into their music careers.

They have quickly established themselves and have found places in the Highlife and Afrobeats genres.

KiDi, who is currently Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ Afrobeats Artiste of the Year has released hugely successful singles such as ‘Odo’, ‘Say Cheese’, ‘Enjoyment’ and the 2021 smash hit ‘Touch It’ which went viral on TikTok and spent several weeks on the UK Afrobeats Chart and the Billboard Global Triller Chart.

Kuami Eugene is a four-time Highlife Artist of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). He also won the ultimate slot (Artiste of the Year) at the 2020 VGMA.

He is known for hit songs such as ‘Angela’, ‘Confusion’, ‘Wish Me Well’, ‘Open Gate’ and is currently enjoying a lot of success with his massive collaborations such as ‘Happy Day’ (with Sarkodie) and ‘Love Nwantiti’ remix (with Ckay and Joeboy).

Kuami and KiDi are also loved for their riveting stagecraft and have rocked a lot of high-profile stages (both home and abroad).

Juliet Ibrahim Collaborates With United Airlines For “A Toast To Life” Book Tour

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim teams up with global airline company United Airlines as she is set to tour America with her book ‘A Toast To Life’.

This collaboration comes as Juliet Ibrahim was recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential People of African Descent under 40 by MIPAD.

As a Mipadian, The Actress will be working with United Airlines to promote their routes across continents.

Announcing the new partnership via social media, a delighted Juliet, expressed how it will be easier to go on her tour due to the convenience of a direct flight from Ghana and Nigeria to the United States of America.

‘A Toast To Life’ is a highly acclaimed auto-biography detailing how Juliet Ibrahim survived three civil wars and how she lost some family members while her family was trying to escape from rebels. The book also reveals her survival from rape and sexual abuse, the ups and downs of her previous relationships, dealing with self-esteem issues, depression and Motherhood.
