Rapper Ace Berg Joins Victor AD On Sir Justine Chinonso’s SJW Entertainment



Nigerian Entertainment mogul and CEO of Sir Justine World, SJW Entertainment, Sir Obiajunwa Justine Chinonso has revealed that he is determined to make a difference in the entertainment scene and rewrite the rap game in the Nigerian music industry with the signing of the prolific rapper and songwriter, Okoronkwo Ikechukwu.

Ikechukwu, who goes by the stage name Ace Berg, recently put pen to paper with the entertainment company and has promised to change the rap game with his distinct rap style.

Ace Berg who was born and bred in Lagos but hails from Abia State is a graduate of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science.

The artiste, whose rap style is unique, has revealed that he’s ready to show the world his talent and redefine creativity with his craft.

“I am ready to show the world my talent and redefine the rap game, I have all it takes to be the next big thing in the Nigerian music industry,” he said.

Ace Berg is not new to winning on the big stage, his skills and distinct rap style has seen him win the MTN Rap Battle at Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO, in 2014.

He revealed that he’s ready to show the world his talent and redefine creativity with his craft.

On his part, Sir Justine is more effusive about the prospect of his new signee and opined that despite the rise of the Nigerian music industry in recent times, he does not want to rest on his oars but poised to contribute its quota to the entertainment scene in Nigeria.

SJW is also the home label to ‘Wetin We Gain’ crooner, Victor AD, and the newly signed Blaq Jerzzy, a songwriter, performer and music producer known to have produced hits for Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and many others.

“We are not done yet, in fact, we are just getting started. We are poised to positively impact the Nigerian music industry. I established SJW not just because I want to make a difference in the entertainment scene but because I want to be that difference,” the Imo State-born label executive said.

He added, “The industry is great but I’m here to make it greater. SJW is undoubtedly the fastest growing music company in the continent of Africa and we exist to shape culture through the power of artistry innovation.”

Speaking further, Sir Justine said his company is committed to developing creativity and innovation.

Before venturing into the music business, Sir Justine was a real estate tycoon and fashion aficionado. His love for classic cars made him venture into that line of business too.

Speaking on the arduous task of nation-building, Sir J, as he is fondly called by close friends and associates revealed that the burden of nation-building rests on all of us.

“We must play our part in assisting the government in playing theirs. My wish is to build an institution/academy for young talented music artistes,” he concluded.

As part of the world music day celebration and as part of the activities lined up for the VGMA Musical June, Ghana’s biggest music awards scheme introduces the VGMA National Music Summit.

The summit is to use music as a tool to drive social change and is aimed at using education to empower players in the industry to help better the lot of the sector.

The summit is to be held with limited audience but shared with millions across the VGMA official social media channels. It starts at 10am and ends at 2pm.

The 4 hour event is meant to engage Musicians, Music Producers & Managers, Distributors of Music, Music Promoters, Media and Other Industry Players nationally to discuss core industry issues.

At the end of the dialogue, a communique on the insights, conclusions and recommendations collated from the discussions will be presented to the Ministry of Tourism & Creative Arts for consideration. There will be 3 panel discussions; Royalties – The Way Forward, Music Distribution in the Digital Era and Play it LIVE.

Starting off the conversation for Royalties- The way forward, are; Munyaradzi Chanetsa, A&R Manager, Sony South Africa. Rex Omar – Chairman Ghamro and Veteran Ghanaian musician. Abraham Adjetey, President of Ghamro. Trigmatic, is a Ghanaian award winning musician, composer, songwriter and Philanthropist. Last but not least, Cynthia Quarcoo, Managing Partner, CQ Legal & Consulting.

Leading the conversations in the Music distribution in the digital era are 3 distinguished industry players with in-depth practical knowledge in their respective field of endeavor. Nanky Wins VGMA22 Unsung Initiative



Ahead of the most prestigious music awards scheme in Ghana, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2021 slated for 25th and 26th June, Nanky has been announced winner of the Unsung Initiative.

The fast rising 28 year old Tema based Afro-Pop. R&B, Highlife singer who is currently signed on Sultan Incorporation was on Friday 18th June 2021 announced winner on TV3’s Showbiz 360 hosted by Giovani Caleb.

He won ahead of his competitors Oseikrom sikani, Adelaide the seer, Koby Tuesday, Kwame Yogot, Malcom Nuna, Queendalyn and Naana Blu.

Nanky, as the tradition has been since its inception in 2015, will get to perform at this year’s edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which would be held on Saturday, 26th June, 2021.

The Unsung is an initiative to project underground artistes who need the platform and exposure to make it to mainstream. Previous year’s has seen winners like Lynx Entertainment artiste Kuami Eugene, Reggae/dancehall artiste KelvynBoy among others.
