Published

on

On Friday, 26th January 2018, The “My Zylofon Dream And Zylofon Cash” was unveiled in a press conference which took place at the zylofon media headquarters in east legon opposite mensvic hotel.

After rolling out the “zylofon arts fund” some two weeks ago, the administrative board has since received an impressive number of entries from influential industry players.

WHO ARE WE??

Zylofon Media Company Limited is limited liability company duly registered and incorporated in Ghana by the company’s Act of 1963 (ACT 179).

We are a multimedia entertainment company established to supply profitable, acceptable, audio and visual entertainment to diverse domestic and international consumers. The company is committed to professionally produce impeccable creative arts works that would be domestically edible and to transcends borders, as we firmly believe that, quality edible art works can be produced without lowering societal moral standards in a quest for commercial appeal.

We plan to produce indigenous artists and art works that would fit universal standards. These would cover a broad spectrum of the Creative Arts industry, in music; it would span from Hi & hip Life, Jazz, Contemporary Christian Music, Dancehall, Reggae, Rock and so on, whereas the movie productions would mirror every aspect of global socio-culture, economic and political phases, worthy of our lenses to be subject to our editorial policy in our bid to inform, educate and entertain. The company already has established ties with various artists in the industry, and plans to search for new artists to market and produce.

WHY WE CHOOSE TO INVEST IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

Investing in the entertainment industry is often described as high risk, but there are many reasons investors choose to put money in it. Along with the risk, there is a possibility of high returns and a payoff that can continue over a long period.

With mutual funds and support, it is possible to spread the risk and at times minimise the effect. Entertainment industry investments offer an opportunity for great personal satisfaction. Some Countries have instituted schemes and systems that encourage Creative Arts. Even though all their challenges are not eradicated, these funds significantly induce growth in the industry which resultantly reflects in the Gross Domestic Product of the economy.

We are of the firm believe that the sector has the potential to contribute greatly to GDP growth. Often, a great deal of money is poured into a single project with success depending on unpredictable public acceptance, critical reviews and a host of other factors beyond the investors’ control. However, our unwavering belief is that ,if an entertainment product becomes a hit, it can produce returns that far outstrip less risky investments.

Published

on

‘Winning Miss Malaika, or simply just participating has changed my outlook on life drastically. One thing I took away from the experience is that in as much as outer beauty is important, the growth that happens inwardly is what will make you stand out, and that is exactly what Miss Malaika gave to me and I believe to other ladies who ever participated’ – reigning queen, Miss Jasmine Djang.

In a little over 80 days from now a new queen takes over from Jasmine Djang. But the journey to that unveil as history would have it has never been easy. From heart breaks to tears and cheers, shouts of joy to acts triggered by sour grapes and more, this pageant has seen it all; and on Saturday 17th July was no exception as more than 200 wanna-be queens thronged Tomreik Hotel in hopes of being a part of Miss Malaika Ghana 2021! 45 ladies made it to the next stage.

Prior to this very first encounter, pageant organizers Charterhouse launched the social media campaign, “Tag A Queen” which saw many Ghanaians post photos of ladies they deemed fit to wear the crown and tagging the various Charterhouse handles with the hashtag, #Malaika21. That process saw some 32 gorgeous ladies automatically graduated to the semifinal stage of auditions which will look a little past the beauty of face and figure and test for intellect and more.

Sitting in on the search panel with the task of selecting the most beautiful among the lot on Saturday 24th July were Showbiz personality, PR Practitioner and Entrepreneur, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku with award winning actor, fashion designer, Elikem Kumordzi and Miss Sharon Coffie, Miss Malaika 2012 Queen. Between the three astute judges, 30 beautiful, intelligent and charming ladies graduated to the final stage which is the FINISHING SCHOOL. According to organizers, 20 out of the 30 will enter the competition proper and would be out doored to the general public.

Miss Malaika Ghana shows this and every Sunday at 8pm on GH One TV and at 9pm on MX24 and EBN TV.

It is a Charterhouse Ghana Production brought to you by Nivea, Frytol, Royal Senchi Hotel, GTP, Malta Guinness, Kenya Airways, Tomreik Hotel, GhOne TV with support from Aspire Destinations, Lux, Geisha, Lucozade and Verna Water.

Wild Cards Revealed! Maria and Pere Survive First BBNaija Shine Ya Eye Live Eviction Show

Published

on

Ebuka took on the first BBNaija Shine Ya Eye live eviction show Sunday night, but there were no goodbyes – just surprises!

After the ladies and gentlemen of the house settled in last Sunday, Biggie threw in the second twist of the season. He told the housemates that two from among them were Wild Cards and they had a week to figure them out. If they successfully did this, the two Wild Card housemates would be evicted immediately. Failure to do so meant they get to remain in the competition and battle it out for the grand prize.

The housemates investigated, questioned, and tried hard to figure out who they were all week long. The viewers were not left out in the guessing game until Thursday when Biggie revealed that Maria and Pere were the Wild Cards.

During their Diary Room sessions Sunday afternoon, majority of the housemates put forward Liquorose and Jaypaul as their prime suspects, to the amusement of viewers. However, the cat was let out of the bag when Ebuka asked the Wild Cards – Maria and Pere – to reveal themselves. This left the housemates surprised but impressed at how well they concealed their identities.

The game has now shifted gears as both Maria and Pere are officially in the game to win. Ebuka revealed that both of them will have exclusive nomination powers on Monday night, when the housemates exercise their nomination rights for the first time this season. Nominations will begin after the Head of House game scheduled for 6pm.

Abeg is the headline sponsor of Big Brother Naija season 6, and the associate sponsor is Patricia.
